Who We Are

Meet the experts.

Alex Moriarty

Alex Moriarty | Principal & Founder

Alex Moriarty is the Principal and Founder of AXM Law. For more than two decades, he has provided high-level advice to the boards of listed and unlisted companies, State and Federal Government departments, small businesses, start-ups, and individuals on every aspect of their business or profession. He is the preferred legal counsel for high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and professionals, based both in Australia and overseas, advising on all aspects of their business, finance, and tax needs.

As a commercial litigator and insolvency lawyer, Alex has led numerous large, high-stakes disputes and trials across all Australian jurisdictions. His experience ranges from commercial and contract disputes to trade practices, tax, administrative law, intellectual property, insurance, medical practice, lending, property, and insolvency matters. While he has won many high-profile and landmark legal test cases, he is equally known for being careful, discreet, and achieving superior outcomes while keeping his clients out of the spotlight.

Alex practiced initially at a top-tier law firm in Sydney, and subsequently as a Brisbane-based partner for national and boutique firms for the first 18 years of his career. In 2018, he founded AXM Law as a high-end, full-service practice, dedicated to providing superior client service and a progressive, collegiate environment for lawyers.
